Decision-making (RFI/RFP, Selection)
“If you do not know exactly what you require and how to formulate it, the risk of inadequate offering is significant.”
Although the approach for a Request for Information (RFI) or Request for Proposal (RFP) is increasingly more output-driven, organisations still struggle with defining their requirements and translating them to an RFI/RFP. Distinguishing between ‘need’ and ‘supply’, including the related communication, is another factor that can easily complicate the process. If requirements are defined too broad or too narrow, or if there is too much focus on irrelevant criteria, the risk of inadequate or mismatching offers and disappointment for all involved parties is significant. Being able to translate requirements and criteria and having sufficient understanding of the market is an essential prerequisite for an effective RFI/RFP.
METRI has a comprehensive benchmarking background and extensive knowledge of the External Service Provider (ESP) market. We are able to take into account practical details and to adjust the selection approach accordingly. By fine-tuning content of the RFI/RFP, METRI will enable better evaluation and decision making. Moreover, we help our clients in making the RFI/RFP suitable for benchmarking, using our unique Component-Based-Measurement® model. Benchmarks can be performed on an offer if a second-opinion is required, to support the selection process and to check market conformity of offerings.
