“Optimising the performance & cost/price ratio of Application Development & Support organisation”

Application Reviews can be performed in theareas of Development and/or Maintenance & Support. METRI utilises 5 dimensions (or pillars) for measuring Application Development, and 4 dimensions for measuring Application Maintenance & Support. Data collection and analysis is structured around these dimensions. Peer group selection and benchmark results use various parameters and components for each dimension as input in order to enable a realistic and accurate comparison between client and peer group(s).
The 5 dimensions for application measurement are:
- Cost (Price) Efficiency
- Productivity (per FTE)
- Quality (Defects Analysis, Customer Satisfaction, SLA’s)
- Time to Market (Development)
- Process Maturity (e.g. CMMi, ASL, ITIL)
During workshops these quantitative parameters are complemented with qualitative information regarding personnel, processes, technology, environment and products used. This enables METRI to assess strengths and weaknesses, and determine areas for improvements in order to reach market best practice. Results and comparisons (for best practice) are clear and precise including (management) dashboards, radar diagrams, bar charts, tables, concrete findings and recommendations.
